First Assistant Director-General Enterprise Technology

 Janice Law is the First Assistant Director-General Enterprise Technology (FADGET), responsible for the provision of TOP SECRET ICT services across the National Intelligence Community, Department of Defence and allied partners. As FADGET, she has responsibility for the delivery of major projects within the Defence Intelligence Group portfolio, and is the Senior Delivery Owner of the Resilience line of effort under ASD’s REDSPICE program.  Janice joined ASD in July 2024, having previously held senior roles at Services Australia and the Department of Defence.

At Services Australia, she held previous roles of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), General Manager Welfare Payments Infrastructure Transformation and General Manager Enterprise Portfolio Management Office. As CISO, Janice was the principal and authoritative source of cyber security leadership and assurance to govern, protect, detect, and respond to cyber security threats on behalf of Services Australia, maintaining the security of Services Australia operations, as well as the agency’s Shared Services partners such as DSS, DVA and NDIA.

 Prior to joining Services Australia, Janice contributed to the Department of Defence’s ICT reform journey, holding pivotal management roles in infrastructure transformation projects such as the Terrestrial Communications project (Joint Project 2047 Phase 3), and Centralised Processing project, two of Australian federal Government’s largest ICT outsourcing initiatives to date. Additionally, Janice’s key outcomes included delivery and enhancement of a defensive cyber capability to actively defend Australian Defence Force deployed mission systems and data, convergence of Defence’s deployable networks and gateways, and simulation capabilities to enable warfighter preparedness. Janice has previously represented the Department of Defence at national and international forums, across a number of allied interoperability initiatives.
